Saturday 16th March - walk **** – The Dip to Felixtowe Ferry – Sunny periods but chilly.

After yesterdays brilliant windsurf foil today started sunny again but with very light winds so could have a relaxing lay-in. I did whizz down to Felixstowe dock view point to take some puddle reflection pics to send to the TV weather, they came out well too, shame they did not use them:( Then home for breakfast and I did my exercises in the sunny garden while Mag pottered with her plants. We decided to pack a picnic and as Felixstowe Ferry Residents Association have used some of my pics in an old red telephone box near the Ferry Boat pub so we decided to drive down and park at The Dip and walk to see it:) Setting off at 1.15 we set off to the Ferry in nice sunshine but with a breeze from the SE, coming off the sea made it pretty chilly! We did not stop at our usual spot by the River Deben deciding to go the the Ferry first. The telephone box was really well done with several photos and information about the Ferry, fingers crossed it does nnot get vadelised! We make a small detour to see my favourite yellow boat before a quick circuit of the boat yard. With a really chilly breeze blowing straight up the Deben we decide to sit o nthe seat by the fuel shed with lovely views of the river! We have a nice chat with an old friend and spot a seal having fun in the fast flowing riveras we enjoy our picnic. Then it was a cool walk walk as the sky clouded over and home for a hot water bottle. Good day for sport, Ipswich Town win 6 – 0, Italy have a great result against Wales and can Englannd beat France away? We are having Maeva for a few hours this evening while her parents go to see a comedian in Ipswich, should be good!
